Kathmandu Valley with its seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, offers a unique and rich cultural heritage and tradition that go back in time. You will explore ancient temples and religious shrines of the three medieval kingdoms, namely Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan. This trip takes you into a kind of mystical history where the past still remains alive in the present.

We explore through the royal medieval cities of Kathmandu valley and further to Bandipur a small mountain ethnic village, where you will enjoy the beauty of landscapes and sunrise over world famous Himalayan peaks: Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Annapurna, Lamjung, Ganesh and Langtang.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu airport, you will be welcomed by your tour guide and transferred to your Hotel. You will have a rest for an hour or so. Then you will be taken by your tour guide to Kathmandu Durbar square. Many of Kathmandu’s stunning temples and palaces were built during the Newar King Malla dynasty from the 13th to 18th centuries. It is the place, where the kings of Nepal are crowned and their coronation solemnised.
There are many shrines and fascinating wood carving windows, stone carving temples scattered around this area. Temple of Kumari House is one of the most holiest and beautiful places of the square. Kumari is a young girl child, who is considered the living goddess. The Kathmandu Durbar Square is enlisted in World Heritage site in 1979.
In the morning after your breakfast, visit Pashupatinath along the banks of the Bagmati River. It is Nepal’s holiest Hindu site, attracting pilgrims and sadhus (Hindu holy men) from across the country. Non-Hindus are not allowed into the main temple, but visitors can view the whole area from across the sacred river.
The guide will then take you to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the world's largest and most sacred Buddhist stupas, located in Kathmandu, Nepal, on an ancient trade route. Its massive white dome is a representation of a Buddhist mandala and symbolises the path to enlightenment. The stupa features the iconic "Eyes of Buddha" painted on its spire, looking out in all directions, and it is a major pilgrimage site for Buddhists worldwide, particularly for the Tibetan community.
It was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument List in 1979. A large image of Buddha is in a monastery next to the Stupa.
Then you head to Patan Durbar Square. Patan is also known as ‘Lalitpur’ literally, the City of Artisans, and is the home to the valley’s finest craftsmen. Most finest monuments and shrines around the city are Hiranya Varna Mahabihar, the three storied golden pagoda and Krishna Temple. The Krishna temple is built in the Shikhara style or entirely built in Stone and full of little stone carving of Hindu religious epic Ramayana. In the evening, visit to Boudhanath Stupa. It is the focal point of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal and the largest stupa in the South Asia, looming 36m overhead. It was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list in 1979.
Bhaktapur, the City of Devotees” is situated 14km east of Kathmandu. This ancient city is actually the most popular city among all and legendary living museums from medieval time. Located about 14 km east of Kathmandu, it is one of the 3 royal cities in the Kathmandu Valley. Bhaktapur is filled with monuments, most terra-cotta with carved wood columns, palaces and temples with elaborate carvings, gilded roofs, and open courtyards. Bhaktapur and Durbar Square were added to the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1979.
In the late afternoon, drive further to Dhulikhel, a small Newar community town 30 Km from Kathmandu. You have a very nice view of lush valley and Himalayas. Beauty of hills, paddy field and Himalayas are simply magnificent. You will be taken to your splendid resort hotel, from where you can have a majestic panoramic view of Himalaya.
In the morning after breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu hotel and free day to buy souvenirs and gifts.
